I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
