Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev won his initial championship for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has endured a challenging year, managing just one win at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in especial - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial championship since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface since spring of 2023.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has secured 21 championships at twenty-one various competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a title is particularly special," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle in the past months.
The player's defensive play style and regular reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to wonder if his ability to perform at the highest level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, taking four of the final five points to go ahead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his initial tour victory, took control to push for a final set.
The opponent rescued four early chances in a tight final set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned the title with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
